For all Quebecers, the maple sugar season is a very exciting time of year. Not only does it herald the arrival of spring and the awakening of nature, but it also allows young and old alike to indulge their sweet tooth and reconnect with traditional recipes that showcase the flavors of maple!
We could even say that every Quebecer has a little maple syrup in their blood!
One of the most classic recipes of the sugaring season is undoubtedly the Grands-Pères in maple syrup. Just one bite and we are transported to a traditional sugar shack, without the snowsuit soaked by the melting snow!
